Luxor province witnessed an extensive meeting to complete the discussions of the signing of the brotherhood agreement with the Yangtze City of the People’s Republic of China, in the presence of the governor of Luxor, Mohamed Badr, and Wang Qicheng, vice chairman of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
During the meeting, the main items of the brotherhood agreement between the two countries were discussed in implementation of the desire of the two governments to enhance relations of mutual understanding and friendship between the Egyptian and Chinese peoples and to consolidate and develop friendly relations and cooperation between the two cities. The two sides reached a mutual consultation according to the principles of equality and mutual benefit Exchange and cooperation between the two cities in various fields such as economy, trade, heritage protection, science and technology, education, health and sports to promote prosperity and common development.
The meeting also discussed the importance of maintaining regular communication between leaders and concerned departments on both sides to facilitate consultations on mutual matters and cooperation as well as matters of common concern. The joint cooperation between the two cities is scheduled to continue for five years from the date of signing.
